  I’ve the mortgage with EBS and I TOTALLY REGRET IT NOW. Very restrictive on the actions you can take with your account. Very strict transfer and spending limits on account. You constantly have to ring them to increase your limit and they will only do it for 24 hours, even if you have sufficient funds on your account. This particular EBS brand in Swords would not even take coins, we were told to bring them to AIB next door and then bring the paper money back to then be lodged in our account. It is ridiculous that your bank tell you to use another bank to do transactions. Also, this bank is very begin the times with their systems. They insist on sending us printed statements even though we repeatably ask them to send only online – like every other bank.

  I tried to open a current account in this bank and was met by a very unpleasant and rude woman. The customer service is horrible there even though you want to give them your money. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The bank management should do something about their employees in this branch as well as the whole way of doing business. Prior to the visit i ordered a call back online but no one ever called me back. Though I already sent my documents over to the bank, I'm not sure I want to deal with such a horrible service.
  
  Yesterday I wrote to EBS about the bad service in one of their branches and about a callback i asked for which was never returned. The experience was quite unpleasant and I decided to share it. Today I got a call from the bank and... got told off for doing so! Some representative called me to convince me that I was mistaken and the service was good! After that he decided to question my memory and doubted that I ever requested a call from them! I highly recommend to watch out with this bank. One day you'll get a call from your branch with the information that all your money is now their money and they apologize that you mistakenly thought it was otherwise!
